RELUCTANT DRAGON TOUR SUCCESS
Our Black Dog Theatre Creation Camden project recently took to the road to perform The Reluctant Dragon at libraries and gardens across London. We sold out at every venue and it was a huge success. We received some wonderful feedback and made some new connections amongst the local community too. Thank you to everyone who took part, came along and supported.
NEW PROJECT FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED
We're so excited to be starting a new community and Theatre project for adults who are visually impaired. The new project aims to bring together a group of sighted and a group of visually impaired adults to collaborate in exploring accessibility in the arts before staging a new adaptation of Through the Looking glass. It should be a wonderful project!
NEW BLACK DOG PROJECT
Earlier this year we were delighted to kick-start a new Black Dog Theatre Creation in Newham, London. Now as part of our tenth year celebrations we are opening a new group in Bury St Edmunds. The new group will run on Mondays at the Bury St Edmunds library.
A WONDERFUL SOLDIER PROJECT
Our project this year for the Armed forces day was to explore the life of a British soldier and family life. We had so much fun with this project and learnt a lot. It was a great success. I particularly enjoyed workshopping the new devised piece bringing to life the different stories and emotions.
WOMEN UNSCENE RETURNS
Our much loved Women Unscene project is returning in late August. The project aims to bring together local women from different cultures and social backgrounds. The project has become a popular asset to the Loughton community working alongside the Loughton library. We still have a couple of spaces left for anyone interested. The project will run on Saturday afternoons 1.00-2.00pm.
