The Essex Witches Community Heritage Project
We're having such a wonderful time working on our latest community heritage project. Over the past few months we have been working alongside the Essex Records Office and The Essex Witches Museum and Professor Marion Gibson to research and explore the true stories of those accused of witchcraft during the medieval times.

In November, we will be sharing what we have learnt with the Kelvedon Institute and Essex Records Office. We've put together a special presentation giving a taster of some of the audio stories, short plays, monologues and poetry as part of a free performance. Our learning resource will then be available at the Essex Records Office and donated to the Essex Witches Museum. We have also put together a special unique touring exhibition which is touring around libraries.
The Highway Rat tour SOLD OUT

A Christmas Carol
We're chuffed to announce that Dramaiocht Productions in London will be performing Alfie James' adaptation of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens at the Chelsea Theatre this December. The play was first performed by The Black Dog Theatre Creation and Alfie James Productions at the Actors Church to raise money for the South Woodford Children's Home.

And me
We are incredibly proud that one of our members Beth Davey is making her writer/director debut this November with her new play "And me". This free performance is taking place at the Theatre Deli on 28th November. Please do go along and support if you can.

'AND ME’ platforms hidden voices to expose the real cost of how families are being torn apart by a social care system that isn’t just broken — it was designed that way. Created with the families themselves, this immersive performance uses verbatim testimonies heard through headphones, placing the audience inside the stories of those affected by false allegations, unjust removals, and attempted removals.
In its final moments, the story shifts to the screen, bringing all voices together in a powerful call for truth, justice, and change.

A special notice
Please note that our Artistic Director, Alfie James is currently working part-time whilst he takes a small side step to recharge due to ill health. This does mean that it may take us slightly longer to do things or get back to people. But we are still very much here and alive. Alfie is fine, but just needs to take it easy. He's planning to be back full-time after Christmas. We're already looking forward to some of the exciting plans which he has got for us.

Thank you for all of your support and understanding
