My Boy Danny Mini tour

We’ve teamed up with artist CK Norman and The Arts Council England to bring to life a new adaptation of My boy Danny. The new adaptation will form part of a new learning resource raising awareness of knife crime, gangs and hate crime towards members of the LGBTQ+ community. The play will receive two special performances at the Kelvedon Institute and the Woolpit Village Hall. All tickets are FREE. Cast includes Dylan Joshua Brown, CK Norman and Tabitha Gribble.

Alice tour SOLD OUT

We were absolutely blown away by the wonderful support which we received on our Alice Through the Looking Glass London Libraries tour. Thank you to everyone who came along and helped us to make it such a success! A BIG thank you to all the libraries and staff for hosting us.

Women in War at the Norwich Castle

WOW! What else can we say…WOW! Thank you to everyone who came along and supported our performance and sharing of our Women in War project at the Norwich Castle Museum. We were blown away by the number of people who came along – from all ages from 0-100. We had so much positive feedback. Many from retired nurses and ambulance drivers themselves. A special thank you to the staff, volunteers at the Castle, the Norfolk Records Office, Norwich Heritage Centre – and of course to the National Heritage Lottery Fund and Lottery players for making our project happen!

LUCKY – WE’VE SOLD OUT!

Our Story Box Community Theatre Project in Kelvedon have been busy working on creating a special adaptation of the story “The Tale of Lucky, the Tiptree Chicken.” The performance will take place on Wednesday 28th October at the Kelvedon Institute and is raising money to support local lad Alexander the Brave. We’re so excited because Author Melissa Ford will also be there selling signed copies of the book itself!

PROUD AUDITIONS

We’re currently wading through over eighty applications to take part in our next Pride Theatre Productions play – PROUD. We’re really excited to be adapting the smash hit play into a full length production to be performed at the Camden People’s Theatre as part of the LGBTQ+ History month in February 2027. Applications are now closed.

WHAT’S EATING GILBERT RETURNS

January 2027 will also see the return of the sell-out successful play “What’s eating Gilbert?” The play gained critical acclaim at the Hen and Chicken’s Theatre starring Luke Garner-Greene and Ryan Ebbrell. It was the first play to raise awareness of eating disorders among young males. The new production will be performed on 29th and 30th January at the Camden People’s Theatre, London.

WOMEN UNSCENE PROJECT STARTS

We’re delighted to announce that our Women Unscene Community Theatre Project has now begun at the Loughton Library. We still have one place available if you’d like to join us.

BLACK DOG THEATRE CREATION BURY TASTER
